May 27, 2014-Scheduled Field trip

On May 27th we will visit museums connected with the Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman http://mucoinah.blogspot.com/:

1. The Santo Domingo church is considered to be one of the most awe inspiring baroque churches in all of Mexico due to its size, lavish ornamentation, and beautiful architecture.

2. Museo de las Culturas de Oaxaca, a magnificent museum housed in what was previously the convent to the church, has beautiful galleries and corridors with art and artifacts from antiquity to the early 20^th century.

3. The Ethonobotanical garden, located in what was previously the church’s orchards, has thousands of the exotic plants indigenous to the area.
