Marietta Bernstorff, Location Director, is a cultural promoter,
visual artist and curator who has been actively promoting artistic and
cultural exchanges between the Mexico and the United States for over 30
years. In 2007, she founded the collective MAMAZ (Women artists and
maíz), a non profit organization representing the women of Mexico, Cuba,
the US, and Canada. One of her recent MAMAZ projects, “Pieces of
Fabric and Conversations Flying in the Air”, was selected in 2013 for
the Festival of the World in London. Others of her projects have been
throughout Mexico; Havana, Cuba; and numerous cities in the United
States. Ms Bernstorff resides in both Oaxaca and Texas.
